Job Details Base salary commences at $115,506.76 on call allowance when rostered on call 11.5% superannuation 6 weeks annual leave 18% leave loading 15 days personal leave per year 10 day paid study leave available for professional development per year Fly out of Isolation Leave (FOIL) Fully subsidised , modern family-friendly accommodation Salary packaging options - up to $15996 per FBT year, plus $2650 for meals & entertainment card Relocation assistance available Leave the shift work behind: you'll work Monday - Friday from 8 am - 4:30 pm, with a rotating on-call roster for after-hours services The Facility You will be working at a wonderful community controlled Indigenous Health organisation based in Katherine, Northern Territory. Here you will deliver comprehensive, culturally appropriate primary health care to Aboriginal communities in the Katherine region to a population of approximately 3,500 people. Services include Primary Health Care Clinics, Social and Emotional Wellbeing Programs, Health Promotion and Outreach, Child and Family Health Services, After-Hours Emergency Care, Visiting Specialists and NDIS Support. Key Responsibilities Providing primary health care, acute care, and emergency services in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team Treating acute and chronic medical conditions while managing patient recalls and follow-ups Conducting outreach to outstations and ensuring health checks and screenings are completed Assessing and referring social welfare issues within the community Training, guiding, and supporting Aboriginal Health Workers in clinical duties To be eligible you must: Current AHPRA registration with no restrictions A minimum of three years’ remote area or rural nursing experience is preferred, though candidates with strong primary health and clinical skills will also be considered. Experience working in Aboriginal health or cross-cultural contexts Experience in Midwifery will be highly regarded Sound knowledge of primary health care principles Advanced clinical assessment, triage, and emergency response skills Demonstrated ability to communicate and work collaboratively in a team setting Cultural sensitivity, adaptability, and initiative in remote settings Must have full Australian working rights (i.e., Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, a valid Working Visa, or New Zealand Citizenship) Opportunities in the Northern Territory are in demand, send you cv through today and we will be in touch immediately!
